Apple Intelligence has powered Trip Forecasts on supported devices. With Weather mini 3.7, Cloud AI joins it as a new option, bringing a faster and more capable way to plan trips.

Cloud AI is powered by OpenAI and runs in the cloud. It extends AI-powered trip planning to more devices and regions, including places where Apple Intelligence is not available.

A new Cloud AI option

Trip Forecasts continues to support Apple Intelligence on compatible devices. Weather mini 3.7 adds Cloud AI alongside it, and you can choose between them in Settings.

Cloud AI uses a more powerful model in the cloud. It is designed to respond faster and handle more complex travel requests, including destinations, dates, durations, and multi-city plans. Cloud AI requires Weather mini Plus and is available in supported regions.

You can write something as simple as:

London and Paris for five days

Cloud AI can turn that request into a Trip Forecast covering the cities and days in your itinerary. It can then summarize the conditions for each destination and provide practical details for the days ahead.

More improvements across Weather mini

Cloud AI is the headline addition in 3.7. The update also improves multi-city editing, forecast reliability, and regional coverage. iPhone widgets and Apple Watch forecasts are more dependable too, so your trip weather is easier to check wherever you use Weather mini.

The same Cloud AI support is also available in Weather mini 3.5 for macOS and visionOS, bringing faster, more capable trip planning to those platforms too.
