Multiple Locations
Since the launch of the Mac version back in Mar 2020, we were thinking about multiple locations support. Wouldn’t it be great if you can switch between locations with just one click?
In this update you can do that :)
In the preferences panel, you will find a new section for locations, you can search for any city or address inside the search box, the locations you’ve added recently will be in context menu as well, you can switch at any time with just right click on the dock icon or the app window.
Widgets for Big Sur
In macOS Big Sur, we have the brand new widgets, which give us a whole new way to present weather information. If you were already using the new OS, with Weather mini for Mac version 1.4, you will find our all new designed widgets in the notification center.
Weather Illustrations
- Size: Small
- Content: Current Temperature + Weather Illustration
- Summary: This widget uses the same weather illustration as the main app, plus current temperature.
- Size: Medium
- Content: Current Temperature + Weather Illustration + Current Weather Conditions
- Summary: There are some weather conditions in details in the medium size, plus weather illustration and current temperature. All details are live during the day.
Wind / Wind Gust
- Size: Small
- Content: Wind Direction + Speed
- Summary: Wind information with noticeable wind direction icon, you will know it even at a glance.
Humidity
- Size: Small
- Content: Relative humidity percentage
- Summary: Relative humidity into three category: Dry (0% ~ 30%); Comfort (30% ~ 60%); Wet (60% ~ 100%)
Precipitation
- Size: Small
- Content: Precipitation
- Summary: Next hour precipitation, chance of rain, snow or sleet.
Cloud Cover
- Size: Small
- Content: Cloud Cover
- Summary: Next hour cloud cover, one of the key factors for sunny / cloudy day.
Sunrise / Sunset
- Size: Small
- Content: Sunrise and sunset countdown
- Summary: There are four status of this widget: sunrise time, sunset time, remaining daytime and remaining nighttime.
